Sophmores go bowling
May 9, 2016
Sophomore leadership has been working hard this year to make the class of 2018’s high school experience an unforgettable one. This school year, they have organized a lot of class bonding activities, exclusively for sophomores. Movie nights, barbecue/pool party, ice skating, and much recently, bowling. The bowling night took place on April 23rd at Hickam Military Base, and it was better than expected, “I thought it was going to be boring because none of my close friends signed up, but I actually had a lot of fun” added Alexandria Bain. Many who attended made new friends with people who they’ve never expected to ever interact with. This was, Ava Chan’s first time bowling, “It was easier than I thought, because I expected it to be more slippery, but the ball was hard to hold”. Despite that heavy ball, Ava was glad she got to experience her first time bowling with her fellow classmates. What seemed to be the only down side to the great night was getting there. Since the bowling alley is on a military base, getting access wasn’t the easiest thing. Alexandria mentioned that “The process of getting there and getting in took forever, and it cut into our bowling time”. However, it seems as if everyone had a grand time and wants to do more class activities, because it “strengthens and creates the bonds and relationships between classmates”. Thank you sophomore leadership for working hard all year long, to make our time here an enjoyable and memorable one.
