On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Kalani High School boys and girls soft tennis teams were up against Kailua High School with a 4-2 overall win at the Kalani upper tennis courts from around 2 p.m. to 4 p.m..

“The girls’ soft tennis team for Kailua forfeited two games,” said Lynette Tanaka from Kalani’s girls’ team. “They didn’t have as much girls to compete against our team.”

The scoring for Kailua’s boys soft tennis team was two wins out of the three games. The girls’ soft tennis team for Kalani, however, won all three of the games they played against Kailua.

The Falcons were able to make a comeback from a 1-6 loss to McKinley High School on Saturday, Sept. 1.

“It was fun and stressful,” said Noah Fukushima from the Kalani’s boys’ team. “Even though we were losing, it was fun just to see the progress we’ve made playing with our doubles partner along with the rest of the team.”
