Kalani student-athletes Kamalu Kamakawiwo’ole and Shelby McDaniel attended the National Letter of Intent signing ceremony at the Convention Center Wednesday morning.

Kamakawiwo’ole will be attending the University of Utah and McDaniel will be attending the University of Cumberland in Kentucky next year.

Athletes from Hawai’i public and private schools who will be playing Division I basketball, soccer, softball, and baseball were there to make their commitments official. The event was attended by families, friends, coaches, and athletic directors.
