Over the last few weeks I set out to go interview the Kalani JV Head football coach; Mr. Saiki, to see his thoughts on this year’s season and to find out a little more about him. Mr. Saiki grew up on Kaua’i and went to school at Kapa’a High school. While he was there he played football where he was a running back and a linebacker. When I asked why he became a football coach he said, “I had an interest in football, and it’s a great feeling to pass on the knowledge to those interested in the sport.” He also thinks the JV team will do great, and the players also seem to have that same mind set.
