Brison is kickin’ as a freshman
January 29, 2016
This week I interviewed Brison Kim, who plays for the Kalani Varsity Soccer team. I chose him specifically because he is one of two freshmen on the varsity soccer team and I thought he might have an interesting perspective. I asked how he felt about being selected to varsity, he said, “I felt great but my main goal was to start on varsity. It was a great feeling though.”
I then asked how he felt he contributed to the team or what he thought his best strength was.
“My best strength is seeing the game. We have a lot of talented players but I’ve been through soccer since 6 years old and the coaches told me i can “see” the game the best.”I then wanted to know how he thought the Kalani soccer team would do this year and he put it very bluntly,
“Well we don’t have the team when Kalani won states, we just don’t have that talented team anymore but we do have passion. I think we will make it to states and then get shut down but I won’t think like that, I will play hard because it’s the seniors last year and they want to win.”
Overall it was a very interesting interview with a very interesting guy who had his heart set on the state championship.

Great article! I see how a new player hopes to help his team do well. That’s a great attitude to have. I predict great things for the Falcons and for Brison. Good work Jett Neeley!
