School halls remain largely empty, even as Kalani High School allows seniors to return to class on Monday, Nov. 23. The majority of students - freshmen, sophomores, and juniors - now receive schooling online, a months-long development that Kalani student Joseph Kim (10) describes as “kinda scuffed.” Photo and caption by Virgil Lin.

Clara Wu (12) created this poster for Mr. Mosher's Computer Art class during this period of social distancing and online learning. Students were told to look up work by the artist Shepard Fairey for inspiration. "I thought of vintage propaganda posters so I searched for those," Wu said. "I came across posters that had a color theme and used stripes to lead my eye to the focal point of the pieces. I thought to do something relevant to what is happening now and used the related colors of the American flag." Art courtesy of Clara Wu 2020.
