Daynna Mekaru is swinging for the fences as she practices on Dec. 6, at Roosevelt High School softball field so she can be ready for her upcoming season as a sophomore at Mid-Pacific Institute. All public parks are currently open for anyone who wants to exercise, practice, or have a picnic with family or friends. The guidelines for parks in Tier Two are five people maximum and no masks when exercising; however, masks are highly recommended if you’re not 6 feet away from a person inside the park. Students should be going to their local parks and staying in shape, especially if they’re planning on playing for a Kalani sports team which is tentatively set to resume in 3rd Quarter.
