Halloween Spirit Week at Kalani!

Kalani cheerleaders Naiyalyn Uratake (11), Shaylene Ishida (9), Kylie Omura (11), and Ashlyn Takai (11) practice for a preseason competition on Sept. 28 at Moanalua High School. The girls will perform a routine that they have been practicing since the start of the season in August. Routines are scored on performance, skill, and spirit. The team will compete against 10 other schools across Oahu such as Mililani, Kahuku, and Pearl City. The top five teams will move up to Easterns. Photo and caption by Jasmine Rossiter 2019.

Kalani High School's Night Pep Rally sees the annual burning of the K on the school track. At the rally, held in the Kalani gym, each class performed a Homecoming dance. The dances were choreographed to songs from the musicals that assigned to each class. After the pep rally, students walked to the track to watch “The Burning of the K”. The students watched the paper K burn from a safe distance as they all sang Kalani’s alma mater. Photo by Tiana Chu 2018.
