In October, the sink was torn off the wall by vandals. “The behaviors encouraged by these Tik Tok challenges will not be tolerated by our schools," The Department of Education (DOE) said in a letter sent out Tuesday, Oct. 5. "These challenges have escalated beyond minor pranks and are serious offenses that can lead to severe disciplinary consequences. Dozens of students make plans to eat together at Kalani High School. On Thursday, Oct. 7, Kalani students socialize with little care for social distancing. Only a few weeks ago, students were heavily mandated to eat six feet apart, all while facing the same direction.. “I see less and less faculty trying to enforce social distancing,” Enzo Yamagata (12) says.
